Happy New Year to you too. We had a Lesser Redpoll in the garden this week- have only seen one here once before, several years ago, so I was thrilled. Hope all is well with you and yours :o) x

David Gascoigne - Thank you and Happy New Year

Countryside Tales - Thank you and Happy New Year.
Well done on the Lesser Redpoll - we get them here in the autumn/winter feeding on silver birch seeds but I haven't seen them yet this year. The one garden tick I want is a nuthatch - a species I believe you do see :)

A very happy new year to you all, RR ... and I much look forward to reading more of your wonderful posts. We had a beautiful Queen Bumble flying round our front door at lunch time today in the sunshine. I'm longing to see my first snowdrop...
