"To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour."

Recent Reading

Some of the books I have read recently.

If I am honest I didn't enjoy this new Rachel McLean story as much as the others in the series.

This is a charming little book - full of fascinating facts about oak trees. Reading it reminded me I have John Lewis-Stempel's book entitled The Oak Tree to read.

I loved this Wesley Peterson novel although I am sad to say I have now reached the end of the series.  I hope there are more in the pipeline!  I need to find new authors!

I am still enjoying working my way through the Cadfael series - there is something so charming about the books.

I haven't read a J R Ellis Yorkshire Murder Mystery for ages and I enjoyed this book.  The identity of the murderer came as a surprise as I was convinced it was someone else!

I have finally bought a new Kindle Fire although I have only downloaded one book on it.   It is totally different to my old Kindle Fire and not as easy to use!  As I mentioned some time ago Amazon have withdrawn support for my old model which I was not happy about. You can still read books you have downloaded but not buy any more :(  The new kindle is as similar to the old one as I could get although the screen is slightly larger. Fortunately, I still have a lot of books to read on my old kindle and I stocked up on quite a few while I could.

We have just returned from a week's holiday on the Isle of Wight so I will do some posts on places we have visited over the next few weeks.

All photos taken by me with the Panasonic FZ330 bridge camera. (I don't particularly rate my photos but if anyone wishes to use one of mine or my son's I would appreciate an email first - thanks).
