While the weather was still so good we decided to return to Herefordshire last week.
There is still not much change in the Octopus or Constable Trees.
But there is a change I think in the Herefordshire Oak - first photo taken on Wednesday when we arrived and second photo taken at end of the break on the Sunday.
Honesty in the border has self seeded - this is a white variety.
We arrived Wednesday lunchtime and in the afternoon went a walk down to the Hen House at the end of the drive to buy some eggs.
Blackthorn is flowering everywhere in the hedgerows.
The lane that goes to Hatfield village.
On Thursday we finally returned to Burford House Gardens which I will write about in the next post.
All photos taken by me with the Panasonic Lumix FZ330 bridge camera. (I don't particularly rate my photos but if anyone wishes to use one of mine or my son's I would be grateful for an email first - thanks).

Good to take advantage of the good weather and visit Hatfield again. Lovely to see the white Honesty. There does seem to be lots of flowering Blackthorn in the hedges at the moment. Looking forward to more on Burford House Gardens:)
Thanks so much Rosie - to be honest I didn't want to visit over Easter with the school holidays so last week seemed the best bet :) It seems a good year for Blackthorn and primroses - seeing both everywhere :)
Your garden is looking great! Amazing what you have done to that space. I also spotted the pheasants in the blackthorn photo! I'm glad you had some nice weather to enjoy at the caravan.
Reply - thanks so much Mandy. OH has also cleared a border under the hawthorn hedge at the side of the caravan to create more space for plants :) Glad you spotted the pheasants - I didn't see them when I took the photo!
