And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour."

DORSET - Part 8 - 4th July : Lyme Regis

Last day of the holiday!! Often we drive straight home but everyone was reluctant to leave Dorset so we decided to visit Lyme Regis. We left the Isle of Purbeck at 10.00 in sunshine but the weather deteriorated as we drove across Dorset.

By the time we arrived in Lyme Regis it was drizzling.

Not too many pictures of Lyme Regis as it was raining on and off and I took nicer ones there last year.

We walked along the seafront, visited a few shops (there is an excellent fudge shop there and I stocked up!) and the Town Mill.

There weren't many people on the beach!

An example of Guerilla Knitting or Yarnbombing!!!! Perhaps I should consider this - it would make a change from scarves and blanket squares!

Couldn't resist a half of this delicious gold liquid!

We left Lyme Regis about 2.30 expecting to be home in about two and a half hours but it took six!!! The M5 was horrendous - one traffic jam after another - accident, roadworks and an "incident" at a service station!

Always good to be home but I do love Dorset and hopefully we shall return in the not too distant future.
