Blue Tits Have Fledged!

Great news - the young blue tits all successfully fledged this morning. We missed the first one which must have left just before 10.00 a.m. but within 10 minutes the next 3 had fledged too. Fascinating to watch the mother trying to tempt them out of the nest box with food and calling to them from nearby. Although it didn't look ready and certainly wasn't keen the smallest of the brood finally left at 11.40 a.m. Really pleased and we may even see them at the feeders although now there will be no way of knowing whether they were raised in our nest box or another one!

Its been a real privilege to watch the whole breeding process from nest building to fledging on camera through the tv. The camera didn't seem to bother the birds and they had a choice of 3 nestboxes, two of which didn't have cameras.
