More photos of Hereford Cathedral

Many thanks to Pete from The Quacks of Life (see link right and comment below) for checking out the situation regarding photos of the inside of the cathedral and it appears I can post them on the blog. So here is a selection from Thursday's trip.

No photos though of the Mappa Mundi or Chained Library as none are understandably allowed.

Tomb of Sir Richard Pembridge who was one of the earliest Knights of the Garter



The font dates from around 1150 according to the walkaround guide and it mentions in the Hereford Cathedral guide book that it is "surrounded by carvings of the apostles". The carvings were defaced during the Reformation

The tapestries were woven in Namibia and represent 3 biblical trees - The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, The Tree of the Cross and the Tree of Life according to the Guidebook
