I've enjoyed reading about the birds other bloggers spotted during the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch.
I took part last Sunday. Most of the regular visitors except for Collared Dove turned up in the hour although none of the less regular visitors such as Sparrowhawk, Coal Tit, Chaffinch, Ring Necked Parakeet and Great Spotted Woodpecker. I certainly don't these days see as many species as I did several years ago.
I saw the following species
Magpie x 2
Wood Pigeon x 6
Blackbird x 1
Great Tit x 1
House Sparrow x 2
Goldfinch x 2
Robin x 1
Dunnock x 1
Blue Tit x 3
The only mammal spotted was one Grey Squirrel.

You had a great selection of birds visit in your hour. Similar to here except the magpies didn't come down onto the garden although they were in the trees at the back of the school. The sparrows were absent too. I've enjoyed seeing what everyone else counted over the weekend:)
Rosie - Thanks Rosie. Magpies were the first to visit - in fact the only species in the first 15 minutes!!!! Yes it is interesting to see what others have seen and important to remember the data is useful however many you see.
Embarrassingly I completely forgot the RSPB Birdwatch was happening having remembered the week before when doing the Tweet of the Day schedule, then been reminded on Winterwatch, and then again on Sunday evening after dark when it was way too late. I must be getting old and forgetful :-)

I didn't take part as out on Saturday and too busy on the Sunday. We have several Blackbirds always about the place, Pheasants under the feeders, GSW's, Nuthatches, lots of Blue and Great Tits, and the occasional Coal Tit. Long Tailed Tits too but not every day (or at least not when I'm looking out. Sparrows, two sparring Robins, and there was a Pigeon down on Sunday morning. My friend on the edge of the Forest of Dean saw her Waxwing for the first time in ages - and her family group of them come to the feeders too!! Lucky devil.
oops, I completely forgot! In my defence though, I didn't get any reminders from anybody. Looks like you had a good selection of visitors in your garden, including the squirrel.
Bovey Belle - Thank you and you have some great visitors in your garden. As for your friend - what a garden tick. I haven't seen a Waxwing for quite a few years and never in the garden! They love berries in supermarket car parks!

Thank you, RR, for your recent comments. I have been thinking of you all and hoping the patient is feeling stronger and that your home will be Covid-free soon. How lovely to have catkins in the garden!
Caroline Gill - Thanks so much Caroline and for thinking of us. Emily my daughter feels fine tbh she has had a very mild dose and just felt sniffly. She is bored of staying in her room! Still testing positive though although line is now quite faint so she can't go back to work. Rest of us touch wood and fingers crossed still fine. Yes we have a couple of hazels in the mini woodland at the top of the garden :)
