On previous visits to Tenbury Wells we've spotted an area of common so on the way back we parked and went for a walk for an hour. It was blissfully quiet with very few people around although I suspect it gets busy at weekends and bank holidays!

Pussy Willow
Lamb being fed by its mother
There were lots of Spring wild flowers including Garlic Mustard and a few unidentified "white" butterflies flitting around.
Blackthorn in flower
It was a lovely walk in the Spring sunshine and I am sure we will return.
Next post will contain a couple of churches.
I hope everyone is staying safe and well.

Ooh for once I get to comment first! Looks a lovely place to walk like so many places around your caravan. Your spring is a good 2-3 weeks behind us but that’s not surprising really! I always love seeing blossom. We are onto Elder flowers and Hawthorn blossom now. Sorry I have bombarded you with comments, just trying to catch up, also I can comment on your blog with my iPad, which I can’t do on most for some reason, which is very annoying!
ReplyDeleteMillyMollyMandy - Thanks so much and lol!!! Please don't apologise for late comments - no need to!!! Yes hawthorn just coming out here. Yes there is a lot to do in Herefordshire. site owners recommended a nearby park last weekend which had escaped my radar and looks brilliant and only 10 minutes from caravan!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you spent a lovely, peaceful hour wandering around the common. I love the sheep and lambs. Good weather for your walk too. Looking forward to the churches:)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful to see fields full of dandelions? There must be some very happy bees around. Glad you spotted it, and it looks most promising for future walks. That's a very healthy looking lamb there.
ReplyDeleteBlackthorn is opening up well, and I hope there will be a good pick of sloes.
Glad you have found lots of different places to explore near the caravan, and have been finding some of your own.
ReplyDeleteRosie - Thank you - yes we were lucky with the weather -cold but sunny and dry apart from the day we came home.
ReplyDeleteRustic Pumpkin - Thank you and yes it is :) Only beaten perhaps by fields of buttercups. There seems a lot of blackthorn flowering everywhere :)
Bovey Belle - Thank you - have a file with a list of places to visit and a lot of books on the area :)
Its such a lovely place, looks very peaceful even more better with the sun shining. Lovely set of photos.

I saw my first lambs at the weekend, such a lovely Spring 'thing'! The common sounds perfect, lots of space and few people :D
ReplyDeleteAmanda Peters - Thanks Amanda - we are finding new places to walk all the time :)
ReplyDeletePam - Thanks - It was the first lambs I had seen close up. Few people was a huge bonus! :)
Your walk looks delightful :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous lambs!
ReplyDeleteCaroline Gill - Thanks - the closest I've been to them this year!
