Happy New Year to you too. We had a Lesser Redpoll in the garden this week- have only seen one here once before, several years ago, so I was thrilled. Hope all is well with you and yours :o) x
Countryside Tales - Thank you and Happy New Year. Well done on the Lesser Redpoll - we get them here in the autumn/winter feeding on silver birch seeds but I haven't seen them yet this year. The one garden tick I want is a nuthatch - a species I believe you do see :)
Rosie - Thanks so much Rosie. Hope you have a lovely year with lots of visits to wonderful places :)
Pete Duxon - Thanks Pete and Happy New Year to you and your Dad plus ducks and friends :) It was lovely to meet you too - hope we can meet up again some time :)
All the best for you too Caroline. I look forward to your posts as they are always so interesting. Hoping you spot some new-to-you birds and plants too.
A very happy new year to you all, RR ... and I much look forward to reading more of your wonderful posts. We had a beautiful Queen Bumble flying round our front door at lunch time today in the sunshine. I'm longing to see my first snowdrop...
Caroline Gill - Thanks so much and I look forward to reading your lovely posts too! Not seen any bees here yet so a good sighting by you :) I am looking forward to snowdrops too although they always seem to flower lateish round here!
And all the very best to you too. Have a great 2019.
