We finally managed to get away to Herefordshire last week arriving Tuesday lunchtime. We were fortunate with the weather although it did rain most of Thursday. The site was very quiet - only a few other cars there even at the weekend when it usually gets a lot busier.
The garden was looking lovely.
The Herefordshire Oak
The Octopus Tree (in the centre of the photo)
Constable Tree (s)
Fox and Cubs is spreading everywhere - it has even self seeded in a pot!
The rose we bought in a pot last autumn from B and Q is now flowering.
Herb pot which needs re-doing. In case you are wondering about the wine bottles - we fill them with water and insert them in pots upside down to give the pots some water when we are not there.
Rose in the garden
Foxgloves which B grew from seed.
On the Wednesday we went to a ngs open garden at Ivington Green and I'll write about that in the next post.
All photos taken by me with the Panasonic Lumix FZ330 bridge camera. (I don't particularly rate my photos but if anyone wishes to use one of mine or my son's I would be grateful for an email first - thanks).
It is hard to believe another week and it will be the mid point of the year! Glad you managed to get away at last, and the flowers looking so pretty and welcoming.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie. The older one gets the faster time seems to go :(
DeleteGlad you were able to get away for a few days and that the site was quite quiet. Everything in your garden looks lovely, we've had lots of fox and cubs in the garden this year, love the roses and foxgloves and the wine bottle for watering is such a good idea:)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Rosie. At least with the wine bottles we know the pots will get some water for a time during dry spells when we are not there.
