I'm not sure what plant the seedheads belong to (photo under catkin) but I will ask one of the gardeners when I next go and let you know. Tripods are a pain (never take the telescope anywhere either for that reason if I'm on my own). I noticed someone recently using a monopod with their camera - perhaps that might be worth a try :)

Graham - You are too kind :) and many thanks! I am beginning to think I am perhaps too much of a perfectionist! Slowly getting the hang of the macro lens.Ragged Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14090463834740346114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8320975515799225099.post-25707186900885380342012-04-21T09:52:57.617+01:002012-04-21T09:52:57.617+01:00Not sharp? And what is that plant under the Hazel catkin shot please?

I know exactly what you mean about tripping over the tripod legs, I do it every time! You seem to have managed the macro shots very well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8320975515799225099.post-79699437731304749242012-04-20T19:34:12.863+01:002012-04-20T19:34:12.863+01:00Shy Songbird - Many thanks. I loved them that much we bought some there and then to put in our garden but sadly as you say they too soon disappeared. I (possibly mistakenly) was under the impression they were perennials!Ragged Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14090463834740346114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8320975515799225099.post-71347541196411574542012-04-20T17:35:17.238+01:002012-04-20T17:35:17.238+01:00I'm sure it was well worth a second visit and ...I'm sure it was well worth a second visit and you took some lovely photos of all the colourful blooms. Yes, the red ones Chris mentioned are daisies, I used to have some in my garden but as is so often the case with my plants, they soon disappeared! Strange how the wild, common daisy grows so readily with no encouragement at all ;-)ShySongbirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08148381873578585910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8320975515799225099.post-33955134114035655232012-04-20T11:53:06.856+01:002012-04-20T11:53:06.856+01:00Chris - Many thanks.
