How Time Flies!

I can't believe how quickly time flies by - have just realised my blog is 2 years old today - the 19th May (I'm burning the midnight oil tonight so this might not get published until the 20th!).

Looking at Blogger Statistics the five most popular posts starting with the one with most pageviews are:

Spring in the Garden
Fossils Part 2: Orthoceras and Belemnites
Tour of the Hall
Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens Part 2
Its my 100th Post

Its nice to get visits from so many different countries and the five that visit most often are:

UK
US
Russia
Canada
Australia

I would like to say a really big thank you to everyone who has visited be it on an one-off, occasional or a regular basis. Special thanks to my followers and everyone who is kind enough to comment and help with identification (particulary moths!).

Blue Tit update:

Just to let you know that the four remaining eggs have failed to hatch - its very sad but possibly due to all the cold weather we have been having - if there are just two mouths to feed it may improve the 2 nestlings chances of survival if food supplies are low. The female has continued to incubate the eggs and brood the two nestlings but today she spent more time feeding the two young.

Happy blog birthday Caroline... it's definitely scary how quickly time goes and blogging is a very useful too and really does act as a diary.

Will be looking forward to more of your very interesting posts going forwards...

Dean - Many thanks. Its very sad - although as I type she is still sitting on the eggs and two young that did hatch. Will let you know how the two that did hatch get on.

Tricia - Many thanks. Blogger does work well as a diary - its often quicker to go back and check posts than find and read an old written diary :)

Many congratulations Caroline! I hope there will be many more years of your delightful posts to come :-) I can't believe I passed the three year mark back in February, time goes so quickly...too quickly!

Such a shame about the eggs but as you say the weather has been very inhospitable. I do hope all goes well for the remaining two.

Hey that's okay! Two nestlings are wonderful. But I know how it goes. When the owls had 3 eggs and only 2 hatched, I thought...oh shoot. But I guess that's how it was meant to be:)

Happy Blog Birthday!!! Isn't it amazing how quickly time flies. It's definitely a great visual and written diary of life and thoughts. I really enjoy reading your work. Happy Monday!

ShySongbird - Thanks so much. I can't believe at times how addictive blogging becomes :) Thanks too for the good wishes re: the remaining two nestlings - I console myself with the thought that two may be more likely to survive than six would have done.

Rob - Many thanks - so glad you enjoy the posts.

Chris - Thanks so much - time seems to go quicker with each passing year!

Fingers crossed the two nestlings will fledge successfully! Have a great week.

Toffeeapple - Many thanks and thanks for commiserations re: the eggs.
